Ingredients

Step 1

  • 1/2 cup olive oil

  • 4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced

  • 2 shallots, thinly sliced

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

  • 1 cup prune juice

  • 1 cup apple juice

  • 3 tbsp (30 g) TREHA®

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp rosemary

  • 1 tbsp thyme

  • 1 tsp ground black pepper


Step 2

  • 3 lb (1.4 Kg) hanger steak, trimmed



Instructions
  1. Place the ingredients for the steak marinade in a blender. Blend on high speed until all the ingredients are finely ground.

  2. Submerge steaks in marinade and refrigerate overnight. Remove from the fridge 1/2 hour before grilling to temper the meat. Prepare a hot grill and remove the steaks from the marinade.

  3. Grill the steaks for 3 to 4 minutes per side or until they are cooked to desired doneness. Remove the steaks from the grill and allow to “rest” for 5 minutes. Slice the steaks on a bias and arrange on a platter.
